One of my coworkers steadily trade assignments whenever we're paired to work together.?
I work in a health care setting. Teamwork is needed to achieve the days duties. On the out patient care setting in which I work. we're paired to do treatments. This one co worker has steadily traded his assignment on days we're paired. he's told me the reason why, is because my perfume is too strong. good. I purposely didn't wear cologne on the days I have to work in that area around him. Ive noticed him staring at me from a distance. He stll trades out his assignment to have another person work with me. My direct manager has asked me to exchange rooms to grant his wishes. Another manager asked if I thought this coworker has been predjudiced. I really don't know, he doesent talk to me nor do I ever say anything to him. It has gotten to the point now, that I don't want to work anywhere near him.
I really don't feel comfy around him.
Should I report this to our HR dept. What am I supposed to do?

My experience tells me that you may want to at least make some incident report to your HR because if this individual begins a campaign against you for some imagined or false reason, you'll already have something on file to show unfairness. Document everything as well as the supervisors who counselled you to accommodate this person. don't make any unjustified claims or make talk about of any suppositions, just the facts.

Sounds like you may want to all sit down with HR and get to the bottom of it.

Quit worrying about it. If the man doesn't like you for some reason let it alone and avoid him, its his weird little problem dont make a big deal out of it or it'll become an bigger issue. Not everyone likes everyone else.

Talk to your manager about it again. If your manager is his manager also, maybe he/she can arrange for you and your coworker to sit down together with the manager as a mediator and talk about whats going on. I can see why that could make you uneasy and I think you may want to learn whats going on. It sounds like its an issue with him, not you, since youve tried to be accomodating to him. If your manager doesnt assist you, then I could say go to HR. Good luck and hope this helps.
