Whenever I enter the GTS thing in Pokemon Diamond and search for the pokemon I want I cant seem to trade my own pokemon for it. Everytime I attempt it says that pokemon may not be offered for trade.. I dont know why although because I attempt to trade the pokemon thats being asked for. Does anybody know how I can stop this because its really frustrating.

Well some cautious attemps:
turn off turn on game
blow into the game to look for dust that could screw it up haha this is so random
umm get closser to connection
and be sure the pokemon you need has the gendr requested.

You may be trying to trade an illegal pokemon, like a Level five Empoleon which I think you cant do anymore because Nintendo stopped it.

. from this persons question.. sounds like if youve been traded a hacked pokemon or youve been hacking them.. they stop you when you get on the GTS from being able to trade legendaries now on the GTS..but still let other people. totally dumb and irratating
